Peach Basil Cottage Cheese Smoothie
I love this flavor combination! Peaches and cottage cheese are a classic pairing while the basil adds a slightly peppery taste. Look for bags of frozen fruit on sale to keep in the freezer just for smoothies or for a quick snack. If you don’t have fresh basil, a dash of cinnamon would also complement the “peaches and cream” flavor.
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- ½ cup milk (cow’s milk, soy or nut)
- ½ banana, frozen
- 1 cup frozen peaches
- 1 tsp fresh basil, chopped
- ¼ tsp vanilla extract
Blend all ingredients in a blender on high speed until smooth. Divide between two glasses and serve immediately.
